I haven't been well lately and I decided to draw something that would make me feel good. Didn't help...haha!
There is no real specific meaning of whats happening here so I thought it'd be better to leave it ambiguous.

... I see that you've some unique work here, for once. Something of your own creation, this? I wonder what underlies it. At times, the most thoughtless or baseless things become vessels for the most unexpected reasoning, ideas, and intricacies.
So, what have we here? I can see that you possess a great sense of what stands as the fashion of regality, versus commonplace raiment. The simplicity of design of the fellow at the left stands in contrast to the elite figure at the right, however both designs have to them a sense of practicality, differ though they might in ornament. What I note first is the holstered gun at the commoner's side; clearly he is not foreign to combat and difficulty, judging from his scars and discerning expression. the instrument case appears to bode a more interesting possibility as to his character; music and expression can underlie any of a vast swathe of activities... And in the presence of aristocrats or nobles, that is a potent force indeed, if read the right (or wrong) way.
The regal man, likewise, possesses his own definition, with the intricacies of his appearance containing many avenues of consideration, from material to culture to academic or forbidden knowledge and teachings. He does not stand as the common one, and from his physique and surety, his robes could hide any number of deadly weapons or meaningful artifacts. I also note that his one hand remains near the other man's gun holster.
Overall, the dominating orange hues of the picture give it a twilight sense of dust and heat, perhaps someplace overshadowed and secret, or merely sequestered away from the world by desert and dunes. Although that interpretation is rather singular, it seems to fit that essence of this being a single frame of a larger course of overt or subtle events. The book and attire/artifacts of the regal man hint at both echelons of high culture, and stand in easy contrast to the armored, rough, though practical signs of life and ways found with the common person.
From an artistic perspective, although the regal fellow has far more visual intricacy, I find that the flow of appearance and natural balance lie with the commoner; his outward expression of thoughtfulness or consideration also radiate his intent, whereas the sly glance of the other man reveals nothing. Likewise, with one hand raised and holding a book far from either glance, there is a solidity to his stance which is both concealing, yet also visually imbalancing. The vertical linearity of his composition adds to this, though you've intuitively offset that via the crossing lines of his coat flares.
Your use of linework is fairly even and clean, and your basic range of tones leaves the image easy to take in. The flat background does well to smooth the areas of solid color and form as of the two figures, and you have also included many small areas of detail on both individuals, leaving a broad range of impressions to pick from the work as a whole.
In short, I find this is an enjoyable work of yours, Genocyber. Thank you.
