I really didn't like how most of my drawings of these characters turned out so I decided to churn out my absolute best for each one, putting them all together for this.

Foremost, your choice of backgrounds for the characters provides both a contrasting simplicity and a compositional stability in the overall picture. The borders are clean, dark, and unobtrusive, and the colors of the backgrounds are subtly matched to their respective characters in some way.
Now, as for the characters, I can easily see that their poses reflect plenty of their personalities and elements. Even to someone as unfamiliar with the material as myself, there is a great sense of purpose in each character.
From a coloration standpoint, the application to each image is rather flat and basic, but as a whole, this factor works well for the entire composition, as it liberates it from being too overcrowded. Odlly, the basic gradient set and three-tone shading among the blocked color is rather reminiscent of some of the basic coloration schemes found in old European religious art of some forms.
Your linework easily captures many of the details of the individuals cleanly and easily. I am unfamiliar with the stylization of all of the villains in general, so I cannot comment reliably there. Suffice to say, with the above combined factors, this piece is actually rather impressive in it's whole nature. As a collective portraiture of the villains of the Final Fantasy series, it's complete, clear, and vibrant without being overbearing.
Very good, Geno.
Why are Cloud of Darkness and Golbez there? Weren't Xande and Zemus the main villains of those games?
As for Gabranth, I personally find Gabranth to be a better villain than Vayne anyway. Plus as it's been stated before, Gabranth was more a a direct villain, actually opposing the heroes throughout the story. And since Gabranth is the villain for Dissidia, they would probably make Basche the hero instead of Vaan because of the whole brothers thing
Also, Zemus himself really wasn't shown so much in the actual gameplay in IV, you got to see Golbez and Fusoya kill him and that's about it before he becomes Zeromus
If you were "told" that CoD was the main villain of FF3, then it's obvious you haven't played it. Have you beaten FF9? Her and Necron are in the same category. They're just vaguely foreshadowed final bosses.
Well Vanyne did antagonize Ashe, Penelo, and Vaan mostly.
I don't even think they met in person until the end of the game. All of his other appearances were during "meanwhile" scenes.
Your right about Zemus he didn't appear until you got to the moon and went deep down into the crystal castle.
You mean the Lunar Core. It wasn't made of crystal.
I haven't played FF3 because I can't buy it because it's a very old game.
You could emulate the fan-translated ROM of the original, OR you could play the Nintendo DS remake.
As with Necron he was created by Kuja near the end of the game.
Where did you hear that? There is no canonical information regarding Necron's origins. Some believe he's the god of death, others believe he's the soul of the Crystal. I even wrote a theory about how Necron used to be Soulcage. But there are no facts.
I do know tho that Xande's Immortality was taken away from him and went on quest to get it back.
He was turned into a mortal, yes. But his goals didn't involve becoming immortal again. He planned to erase all of existence because he was afraid of dying, and doing so would let him escape that fate. Which is when he decided to summon the Cloud of Darkness, who could do that for him.
Also, I apologize for nit-picking.
How much is the DS version of FF3. What do you mean by nit-picking
Funny, all the G guys are dark and awesome. Garland, Golbez and Gabranth, wonder if there's some meaning to their names being similar. Those are my 3 tops because they are all awesome. Then there's Exdeath because he's awesome AND colorful and that's weird to get right.
Kuja and Seymour are very sexy and you actually made Kuja look manly here. XP
Chaos is just plain wicked in his design. And from the girls I actually like Cloud of Darkness more, she looks cool like that even if it's mostly teasing.
Ultimecia's hair just bugs me.
Kefka = Joker in Japan so he rocks.
Seph I'm not even looking at because he's soo overrated but you actually made him manly too so that's another very hard thing to do while still keeping him in char. *cue fan attacks!* >D
Emperor....uhhh, he doesn't get my interest at all.
Now, I like the whole collage idea and how colorful it is as I already said. It could be a neat poster or bookmarks like some artists like doing. :]
