Again with the details. You do have a talent for that I lack and the patience too.
The only critique I have on this is that the bg almost blends with his robe. It could be made darker or a slightly different color too.
I like how his face looks. You managed to keep his human features while making it all rotten and stuff. A bit of shadows around the creases and cracks on his face and hands will make it more real and 3-Dimensional and creepier too.

Really like the bg stuff. Draws the eyes in and you balanced the image well enough that your attention goes to both him and the bg.

Great coloring.
Very well detailed as well, it really gives an "old" impression.
I love the contrast between him and the background, but it could've been even better it the bg was darker than him, or vice-versa.

Anyway, sweet work :D

Greetings again, Genocyber.

I see you've completed an ambitious work here, in it's own right. It's level of detail appears quite intricate among your works; your level of attention to that has clearly increased.

First, I find it striking how the dead monotone of his surroundings can bring a terrible sense of life to the exposed features of his face and hands. The darker patches on his face and the details of his hands lend to a sense of rot or decay; again, the relative lightness of his features is more akin to an unholy light.

The details of his book must be picked from the shadows, but when examined do not lose any of their vitality. Likewise, the smoothness of his mask seems like an abberation towards everything else around him - it seems the most deceptive, and the most foreign in it's undetailed representation of humanity.

My next overall impression over the work is that it is quite flat in appearence. The same monotone I mentioned earlier takes on a negative aspect as well. Primarily it is the zone of his shadow which causes this - directly behind him and so close to his own outline, it doesn't allow for a sense of depth. Even a few marked differences in hue from his robes as compared to the walls would add a greater sense of volume to his body. The downward sharpness of his sleeve on the side which carries his mask: it's hard point gives his robes an akward stiffness; they point to the motion of his mask being towards his face - as if to cover it hastily in preparation for his next action. Was that your intent? If not, it distracts from the sense of revelation of the removal of it.

Lastly, the heiroglyphs... Did you have any intent in their layout? I could see some interesting contexts there, but in their meaning intended by yourself, I was curious. There is also an imbalance in how he is holding that dark book of his: I can't decide whether it is balanced against his wrist, held under his arm, or pinned against his body by his forearm. It's angle seems off, extending too far outward; the book also appears to lack any full effect on the cloth around it, especially on the prominent lines of his sleeve.

The work is very detailed, but somehow the lack of depth makes the image seem rather anticlimactic. However, it is also quite complex overall, and appears to be a growing trend in your work.

Thanks again, Genocyber.
