I recently attended a local Toy Fair event in my town known as the Van Isle Toy Fair as a vendor to sell my art, along with some various Sonic merch to flip. While I didn't make back the money I put into everything, I did have a lot of fun! Lots of people checked out my table and bought prints from me. Surprising number of kids recognized Sonic SatAM material, and even told me they thought it was superior to Sonic Prime. I also met another Sonic artist who works for IDW comics as an official colourist for their Sonic & MLP series. We chit chatted a bunch over Sonic and traded art with each other. Walked away with a few little trinkets at the end of the day. You can find photos of the event on my twitter if interested!

As of very recent, my older brother Marcel has passed away very suddenly. He had been found on the 10th of July after a neighbour had been complaining of a strange odour. We think it must have happened on the 4th. His body was given an autopsy and he had suffered a fatal heart attack after a combination of drugs and alcohol pushed his body over the edge. He was 41 years old. My family and I are all in a state of shock and numbness over this situation. My brother was nothing like me, and we never got along growing up. His spiral into addiction had transformed him into an abusive monster who drove all of his friends away and sabotage every opportunity for himself to go places. We all tried to help him to the very best of our abilities, but he could not be saved. I can speak that his saving grace was his passion in music. He was an affluent DJ who was popular in the industry for throwing raves, and being looked up to by the young teens in the community. He will be cremated and his ashes scattered. There will be no service. No tombstone or plaque. There is nothing to celebrate about this tragedy that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
